A Letter of Appreciation

Yavne Community

The extraordinary women of the Yavne community work quietly, without recognition, simply from the heart.
Yavne Community
The women of Yavne preparing homemade meals with warmth and dedication.

They have become an inseparable part of the Lights of Orit family. Week after week, while most families prepare for Shabbat, these dedicated volunteers are in their kitchens cooking, baking, packing, and preparing homemade Shabbat meals for our soldiers. Every challah, every cake, and every meal is prepared with the love and care of a mother.

Their commitment extends far beyond the kitchen. They join us at events, serve meals, share smiles, offer warm embraces, and spend precious time with the soldiers. Their greatest wish is that every soldier knows they are remembered, appreciated, and never alone, even when they are far from home.

Over time, the Yavne community has become one of the strongest pillars of the Lights of Orit family. Their compassion, generosity, and unwavering commitment remind us of the true meaning of kindness and mutual responsibility. Everything they do is given freely, with humility, warmth, and without expecting anything in return.

To the remarkable women of Yavne, you are far more than volunteers. You are mothers to hundreds of soldiers. You provide comfort, hope, and a sense of home to those serving far from their own families. Your kindness reaches far beyond every meal you prepare, touching the hearts of the soldiers who protect the State of Israel every day.

Thank you for your countless hours of service, your endless generosity, and your extraordinary love. Because of women like you, our soldiers know that even when they are far from home, home is never far from their hearts.

With women who give so selflessly, who cook with love and care so deeply, it is impossible not to believe that light will always overcome darkness.
