What We Do

Meals, supplies and support to honor our soldiers

From home-cooked Shabbat meals and field evenings of appreciation to vital supplies and life-saving equipment — here is how The Lights of Orit shows up for Israel's soldiers, week after week.
Shabbat Meals

Shabbat Meals

The Shabbat that reached the border Towards the end of each week, our volunteer drivers collect food donations from across the country and load their own cars at the logistics center. On Friday they travel for hours to Israel's northern and southern borders to deliver warm Shabbat meals to soldiers in the field. For many, these aren't just boxes of food — they are letters of love from the civilian heart to the front line. Orit's vision was simple: no soldier should feel forgotten when the sun sets on Friday.
